Power line suspension clamp made by sand casting
Our sand cast hanger clamp is a durable, specialized line fitting designed for overhead power lines, substation busbar systems and new energy grid connections. It is manufactured using professional OEM sand casting technology to ensure exceptional structural integrity and long-term performance reliability.
The product is manufactured from carefully selected high-strength nodular cast iron using precision shell sand casting, in which the thickness of the sand layer is controlled in the range from 10 to 30 mm. The entire casting process is strictly controlled: the mold temperature is maintained at 180-240 °C, which can effectively eliminate subcortical gas holes, shrinkage holes and other common casting defects, guaranteeing a dense, uniform internal structure and stable mechanical characteristics of each product. Compared to conventional stamped or welded clamps, the one-piece cast design eliminates hidden risks in the weld area, providing higher overall rigidity and increased impact strength to withstand harsh operating conditions, including high wind swing, icy shock loads and extreme temperature changes from -40 to +70°C.
This pendant clamp is designed in accordance with IEC and GB/T linear fitting standards. Its clamping design is optimized to ensure that the holding force exceeds 10–20% of the wire's rated tensile strength, effectively preventing the wire from slipping even under prolonged exposure to alternating loads. The surface is protected by hot-dip galvanizing or nano-anti-corrosion coating, resulting in a service life exceeding 30 years outdoors in coastal, industrial and high-altitude corrosive environments. The clamp supports the convenient installation of aluminum stranded wires, steel-aluminum wires and overhead optical cables of various sections, and is widely used in overhead power lines of 10-500 kV, as well as in the suspension systems of photovoltaic and grid-connected wind power plants. This is an economical and highly reliable connection solution for the construction and operation of electrical networks.
