Sand-cast power connecting plate (yoke)
Our sand-cast power connection plate is a critical load-bearing element of linear reinforcement, specially designed for overhead power lines, substation insulation hangers and suspension systems in renewable energy power grids. It is manufactured using sand casting technology using resin binders, which ensures exceptional structural stability and long-term operational reliability.
The product is made of high-strength nodular cast iron, adopting precision sand mold formation with strict control of pouring temperature and cooling rate, which can effectively eliminate typical casting defects such as shrinkage cavities and porosity. The one-piece sand-cast construction completely eliminates the hidden risks of failure associated with traditional welded or stamped yoke plates and provides significantly higher overall rigidity and impact resistance. The product can reliably withstand the combined loads of multiple wires, insulators and fittings and maintain stable performance even in extreme conditions, including strong wind swings, shock loads during ice formation and temperature changes ranging from -45°C to +80°C.
The quality meets national standards for linear fittings for electrical networks. This sand-cast yoke plate has precisely positioned mounting holes with a smooth, burr-free interior surface to prevent stress concentration during operation. The surface is protected by hot-dip galvanizing or a reinforced anti-corrosion coating, providing a service life of more than 35 years, even in aggressive environments such as coastal salt spray, industrial pollution and high mountain areas. The plate supports multi-angle and multi-point connection patterns, which allows it to flexibly adapt to various insulator string configurations and evenly distribute the tension of split wires, effectively reducing local wear and unsymmetrical forces on the line. The product is widely used in overhead power lines ranging from 10 kV to 1000 kV, substation busbar interconnection systems, and grid connection suspension projects for wind and photovoltaic power plants, offering a highly reliable and cost-effective load-bearing solution for the construction and safe operation of electrical networks.
