Our sand casting power lug is a critical one-piece connection mount specifically designed for overhead power lines, substation insulator strings and distribution grid overhead systems. The product is manufactured using precision sand casting technology to provide unsurpassed structural integrity and long-term operational stability for grid applications.
Made from high-strength nodular cast iron with an energy-optimized composition, the part is formed using a solid sand molding process with strict control of pouring temperature and consistent solidification, effectively eliminating internal shrinkage cavities, subcrustal gas bubbles and other typical casting defects. Unlike conventional welded or stamped counterparts, this one-piece cast design has no weak points at joints or seams, providing significantly higher overall stiffness, toughness and fatigue resistance. The product reliably withstands continuous variable tensile loads and maintains stable mechanical properties even in harsh conditions, such as strong wind vibrations of wires, exposure to ice loads and extreme temperature changes from -45 °C to +75 °C.
The eyelet fully complies with the requirements of GB/T state standards for energy fittings. The product has precision-machined holes with smooth, burr-free inner walls that prevent stress concentration during long-term operation, which ensures uniform and stable load transfer between insulators, fork-shaped plates and other fittings. The surface is treated with hot-dip galvanizing or reinforced nano-anti-corrosion coating, which provides high resistance to rust, abrasion and salt corrosion. Service life exceeds 35 years even in aggressive environments such as coastal salt zones, areas of industrial pollution and high mountain regions. The product is compatible with a variety of ball lugs, insulator strings and connection plates, and can be manufactured with a variety of hole diameters, opening widths and connection dimensions to meet specific project requirements. Widely used in 10-1000 kV overhead power lines, substation overhead bus systems and new energy connection projects, serving as a reliable and cost-effective interconnection solution for network construction and long-term safe operation.
