Our sand casting force washer is a heavy load transfer element specially designed for power line fittings, substation equipment and support structure connections. The product is manufactured using precision sand casting technology to provide exceptional surface flatness, uniform load transfer and long-term corrosion resistance in highly loaded bolted connections.
Made from high-strength nodular cast iron or energy-optimized structural cast steel, the part is formed using a solid sand molding process with strict control of pouring temperature and consistent solidification, effectively eliminating internal shrinkage cavities, porosity and other common casting defects. The one-piece cast design completely eliminates the hidden fracture risks found in traditional stamped or forged washers, providing significantly higher overall stiffness, compressive strength and surface hardness. The product reliably distributes the concentrated pressure of bolts/nuts over a larger contact area, preventing surface indentations and loosening of fasteners, maintaining stable performance even in harsh conditions such as prolonged vibration, extreme temperature changes from -40 °C to +80 °C and aggressive outdoor environments.
The washer fully complies with the requirements of ISO 7089 and GB/T standards for energy fittings. The product features precision machined parallel surfaces with smooth, burr-free edges to provide even pressure distribution and a reliable seal when installed under bolt heads or nuts. The specially enlarged outer diameter (typically 2 to 3 times the bolt diameter) effectively reduces the bearing stress on the joining structural surfaces, minimizing the risk of material distortion and fatigue failure. The surface is treated with hot-dip galvanizing, oxidation or anti-corrosion coating, which provides high resistance to rust, abrasion and chemical corrosion. The service life exceeds 30 years even in conditions of coastal salt fog, industrial pollution and aggressive environments in high mountain areas. The product is compatible with a variety of bolt strength grades (e.g. 4.8, 8.8, 10.9) and connection configurations, and can be manufactured in a variety of internal and external diameters, thicknesses and special shapes (square, tapered, grooved) to meet specific project requirements. It is widely used in connections of overhead power transmission towers, in substation bus suspension systems, in the installation of transformers and in the assembly of power equipment, serving as a highly reliable and cost-effective load distribution solution for the construction of networks and their long-term safe operation.
